Focused on Horses and Riders
Hardwood Ridge exists to build more than riders. We build confidence, discipline, and a deep understanding of the horse — all within a calm, structured barn environment where effort matters.
About Hardwood Ridge Farms
Hardwood Ridge Farms was built with intention from the ground up. What began as a blank slate has grown into a working horse facility designed to support riders, families, and a thriving horse community.
Each year brings thoughtful improvements — from arenas and stalls to expanded events — all built around a simple goal: create a place where horses are cared for properly, riders are challenged to grow, and community feels like family.
What started as a dream is becoming a destination for riders who value structure, opportunity, and a barn culture that welcomes effort.

Services
At Hardwood Ridge Farms, lessons are designed to develop confident riders and capable horsemen — not just students who can steer a horse around the arena.
From first-time riders to those pursuing competitive goals, students learn how to read a horse, understand why they’re asking for something, and build a foundation rooted in softness, consistency, and respect.
Riders are challenged to grow, encouraged to work hard, and supported in a structured environment where progress matters.
We believe confidence is built through effort — and that real horsemanship starts long before you enter the show arena.
Events at Hardwood Ridge are more than competitions — they’re gathering places for our horse community.
From speed shows to ranch classes and youth-only events, we provide riders of all levels the chance to compete, learn, and connect. Clinics throughout the year offer hands-on learning in a supportive group setting, helping riders build skill and confidence together.
Our training program is built on patience, consistency, and doing things the right way — even when it takes longer.
Every horse is developed with structure and clear expectations. We prioritize softness, willingness, and a good mind above shortcuts or quick results. Not every horse is meant to be a superstar, but every horse deserves thoughtful development.
Honest communication with owners is a cornerstone of our program. We believe in setting realistic expectations and building horses that are safe, capable, and prepared for their next step.

Testimonials
"Love riding with Cassi. She does an amazing job teaching, coaching, and explaining everything — from the basics on the ground to work in the saddle. She truly does it all, from lessons and training to making cold days when you can’t ride fun and educational."

"My family has had multiple horses trained, taken lessons, and participated in Hardwood Ridge Farms shows for several years. All great experiences."

"My love for horses stated when I was a little girl, but my passion really started after meeting Cassi. She's taught me almost everything I know about being a good horse owner, riders, and horseman (or woman) in general. From ground work, to turning barrels or moving cattle, Cassi can teach and train it all. The farm is a welcoming place for those who have just started to learn to ride, to those who have swung a leg over a horse for decades."

My daughter was taking lessons at another facility and was just doing the same ole thing over and over for 6+ months. We switched to Hardwood Ridge Farms and I saw my daughter make drastic improvements within a month. She looks forward to every lesson and show. Cassi is so patient and knows how to teach kids in a way that they understand. Not only does she focus on the kid’s riding abilities but also teaches the parts of the horses, equipment, and how to care for the horses. It is a very well rounded program and we wouldn’t go anywhere else!
